Salary: $16.00 /hour
Lived Experience as a Parent or Guardian of a child with a mental health diagnosis: 1 year
Spanish/English Bilingual preferred but not required

Idaho Behavioral Health is looking for persons to provide Family Support Services to families who have children diagnosed with a mental health or co-occurring disorder. Duties of a Family Support Partner include teaching family members how to develop self-advocacy, role modeling behaviors and skills needed for resiliency and coping, helping families to utilize their strengths and teaching caregivers and children about causes of disorders and about using evidence based interventions. This is a part time position; however, it will likely transition to full time.
Qualified candidates will have completed the Family Support Partner training course through the Idaho Federation of Families and will be certified as a family support partner through the state of Idaho.

Family Support Services provide assistance to caregivers who are caring for a child diagnosed with a mental health disorder, or a coexisting mental health, developmental and/or substance use disorder by strengthening their role as parents through the provision of teaching and support services, and reducing the likelihood that the family and member will become isolated, disempowered, or disengaged.

Portneuf Valley Family Center, Inc. is looking for a Certified Family Support Partner to work in one of three locations of Pocatello, Blackfoot, and/or Soda Springs, Idaho.
